The search aims to select children and youth who are willing to take an oath to model their lives after the principles which Dr. Jose P. Rizal espoused among which is love for God and country, integrity, valor, and excellence in their respective areas of ability, interest and talent. They will serve as exemplars of what a compleat Filipino youth is as envisioned by our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

Every year we celebrate the National Week for the Filipino Gifted and Talented which was proclaimed by then President Joseph Ejercito Estrada to be celebrated on the last week of November.
